Skin and body after weight loss
“I did the hard part. So why don't I recognize my body?”
Weight loss changes more than the number. Skin stretched over a larger body doesn't always retract when the volume underneath leaves, especially where it's thinner. Faces can lose the fat that kept them looking rested. And unless protein and strength work ran alongside the loss, some of what left was muscle, which is why things can feel softer even at goal weight. None of it means you did anything wrong. Skin and muscle change on their own timelines, separate from the scale, and they need their own plan.
I hold both sides of that plan. On the body: Morpheus Body for lax skin, Evolve Transform for contour and muscle tone. On the face: support and color work for post-weight-loss changes. On the metabolic side: GLP-1 coaching that protects muscle while you lose, with the medication prescribed and supervised by the physician, and a maintenance plan for after.
Significant loose skin after major weight loss can be a surgical conversation. If that's your situation, I'll say so, and we'll plan what's realistic without surgery.
